Issue Description

Distributing Crystal Reports with AnyView Browser

Please be aware that this process is documented as an example only, and that support for the

steps detailed below would be considered a chargeable professional service.

Support for Crystal reports was added to AnyView primarily to give access to Crystal Reports as a Goto. For Example, when looking at a list of Sales Transactions in AnyView Browser, I can choose a Goto which will print, with Crystal, a copy of the transaction I currently have selected.Or, run a Crystal report which shows a list of all Sales Transactions for the Customer I have selected while displaying the Customer object. Security to these gotos can be set in the WebObject Setup wizard. If I don't want an individual or group to be able to run the report, I canremove access to the goto.

It is possible to use AnyView Report Publishing to distribute reports without having them associated with an object, and running them in the context of a goto. The steps to do this are outlined in the Attached PDF.

Solution

The Attached PDF Document: (Distributing_Crystal_Reports_with_AnyView_Browser.pdf) describes a method for using AnyView Browser to Distribute Crystal Reports in much the same way as the built in Report Publishing functionality allows viewing of the Text output of regular Great Plains Reports.
