External Tables are not viewable in AnyView Browser

Issue Description

When working in "The World Online, Inc." sample company, objects based on External tables can be seen in the Great Plains Smartlist, but are not displayed in AnyView Browser.

AnyView Browser must be registered in order to view AnyView Objects created from external tables in AnyView Browser.

Solution

Enter the Registration Keys for AnyView Browser in the Accountable Software Registration window.

  • Follow these steps for Dynamics/eEnterprise version 6.0 Show Me
    1. Log into Microsoft Great Plains.
    2. From the application menu bar, select 'Help' > About Great Plains Dynamics/eEnterprise.
    3. From the application menu bar, select 'Extras' > 'AnyView'.
    4. The default Registration window is the AnyView Creator Registration window. Click on the look-up button next to 'Series Name', highlight "AnyView Server", and click 'Select'.
    5. Enter Registration Key 1 and 2, then click the 'Register' button in the upper left-hand corner of the window.
    6. If a checkmark appears in the "Registered" column for the AnyView Browser Module, you have successfully registered AnyView Browser.
  • Follow these steps for Dynamics/eEnterprise version 7.0 Show Me
    1. Log into Microsoft Great Plains.
    2. From the application menu bar, select 'Help' > About Great Plains Dynamics/eEnterprise.
    3. From the application menu bar, select 'Extras' > 'AnyView'.
    4. Enter Registration Key 1 and 2, then click the 'Register' button in the upper left-hand corner of the window.
    5. If a checkmark appears in the "Registered" column for the AnyView Browser Module, you have successfully registered AnyView Browser.
