Error creating MRTKZipTask: OLE Dispatch ErrorMRTKFactory.MRTKObjFactory.1...

31 January 2003

Issue Description

The error message "Error creating MRTKZipTask: OLE Dispatch ErrorMRTKFactory.MRTKObjFactory.1 - The application has expired, please contact your software vendor to obtain a new version." is being generated.

This error occurs when opening windows displaying addresses that can be formatted by ZipAssist. Examples of these windows include the Customer, Vendor, and Salesperson Maintenance windows, SOP and POP Entry, Sales Customer and PO Vendor Detail windows.

Solution

Typically, this error is generated because the ZipAssist client component and data addressing files need to be updated.

Current Enhancement Plan customers using ZipAssist receive an update CD from Accountable Software every two months. These updates are provided in order to maintain accuracy in the certification of addresses. The ZipAssist data and the client components on all workstations MUST be updated every two months. Usually, the data files are installed to a shared network folder so that data updates need only be performed once to a single location.

For more information on how to determine the location of data files, see the Techknowledge article entitled, "Determining the location of ZipAssist data files". The latest client component and data addressing files can be installed from the Accountable Software CD.

INSTALLING DATA ADDRESSING FILES
